Meet Pastor Doug

Pastor Doug Ricker was saved at age seven while attending Peoples Tabernacle of Greeneville,TN. He married his High School sweetheart and joined the United States Air Force in 1991. He answered God's call to preach in 1995, while stationed at McGuire, AFB, NJ. While there He performed various duties at Calvary Bible Baptist Church as Deacon, Bus Captain, Nursing Home Director and Children's Ministry Director. He PCS'd to Moody AFB, GA in 1998. While there at Lighthouse Baptist Church, he was an Assistant Pastor, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Minister, Coach and AWANA Director. He PCS'd to Seymour-Johnson AFB, NC in 2003. He attended Unity Baptist Church in Mount Olive, NC. He assisted with the Bus Ministry, Youth Ministry, Sunday School Ministry and Outreach Ministry. He received his Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in History, from Mount Olive University, NC..  He and his family then PCS'd to Kadena, AFB, Okinawa in 2007. They attended Maranatha Baptist Church. While there, Pastor Doug was a Youth Pastor, AWANA Director, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Bus Captain and filled in with any other areas as needed. He received his Master's Degree in Bible from Piedmont International University of Wilmington, NC.. He surrendered to Military Mission's and was ordained in 2009. Pastor Doug, Tonda, Alan and Zachary PCS'd to Barksdale, AFB, LA in October 2010. They joined Shady Grove Baptist Church in October 2010. Associate Pastor Doug Ricker has assisted in various roles while at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Bossier City, LA., where he and his family currently reside.
