The Furtherance of the Gospel

I.          The Law is irrelevant.  Jesus is everything. (v23)

II.        Expedient and Edify (v23)

Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

III.       Seeking the wealth of others (v24) – (Jesus is wealth)

Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. ⁴Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

IV.       Do not look for things by which to be offended (v25-26)

V.        If you are otherwise inclined to participate, don’t let the potential history of the food stop you. (v27)

VI.       If someone brings it up, you must not partake (v28)

VII.     The Conscience we must be concerned about is the other persons (v29-30)

VIII.    If we cause someone to stumble by doing something we have liberty to do, we bring no glory to God (v31)

IX.       Everyone counts v(32)

X.        Its all about the furtherance of the Gospel (v33)
