Ecclesiastical Separation

I.          Partaking of the sacrifice connects us with the sacrifice (v18)

Leviticus 7:15 And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.

II.        Paul reiterates the fact that the idol is nothing (v19)

1 Corinthians 8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

III.       Its not the meat, it’s the cup and the Table (v20-21)
