Intro:  How do you be meek etc.  Be filled with the Spirit.  More about bam I filled with the Spirit

Numbers 12:3 3(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

I.          Rests in the will of God

Exodus 2:12-14 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand. 13And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow? 14And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

II.         Never Looks for the Spotlight; Understands its all God not God using our abilities and strengthes

Acts 7:25 25For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.

III.       Self is never the Issue

Exodus 3:1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

Genesis 46:34 34That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

IV.       Meekness has nothing to prove; is not defensive

            Numbers 16

V.        Does not Hold Grudges

            Num 12

Definition:     Understanding’ resting comfortably in and fulfilling the task God has given you to do.

Special Note:    Meekness is bold, but boldness without meekness is ugly.

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Acts 4:29-31 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. 31And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
