Goodness

 

I.          The Quintessential Goodness verse

 

Romans 2:4 4Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?  

 

II.        Three people in the Bible (other than God) are referred to by God as having Goodness

 

A.        Gideon

           
Judges 8:35 35Neither showed they kindness to the house of Jerubbaal, namely, Gideon, according to all the goodness which he had showed unto Israel.

 

B.        Hezekiah


2 Chronicles 32:32 32Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

 

C.        Josiah


2 Chronicles 35:26 26Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, according to that which was written in the law of the LORD,
