Full Time Service In Every Vocation

I.          Verse 17

A.        God has been involved with your life from the beginning

Psalm 139:13-14  For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.  ¹⁴I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

B.        This Truth applies to every Church

1.         Every Culture

2.         Every Climate

3.         Every Country

4.         Every Historic Time

II.        Verses 18-19

A.        Even Circumcision neither must be done nor undone to be a Christian

B.        Unless something specific in the Bible forbids certain activity, you do not have to change it.

III.       Verse 20 &24

A.        You do not have to be in “full-time service” to be in full time service. 

B.        Jesus knew you were a plumber when He saved you.  He needs plumbers.

V.        Verse 21-23 - Colossians 3:22-24 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: ²³And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; ²⁴Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

A.        All of us have equal opportunity to serve Jesus.

B.        We serve Jesus in all that we do.

1.         We pay our bills. 

2.         We keep our word. 

3.         We give our employers a full day’s work for a full day’s wage. 

4.         We get to work on time. 

5.         We keep our checking account in order. 

6.         We do our homework. 

7.         We give each test our best.

VI.       When get saved keep walking, but now walk God’s way People will see contrast.
