Those Who Cannot Be Saved after the Rapture

I.         Explain the details of the rapture

First Thessalonians 4:13-18But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

II.        The Rapture Will Come Without Warning

Matt 24:36-41 36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.  37But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,  39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

III.       No Chance after the Church is Called Out

Second Thessalonians 2:1-12Now we beseech you, brethren,

1.        by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and

2.        by our gathering together unto him,

2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day

shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

This is the tribulation period of 7 years.  Jesus will not return until this 7 years is over.

Daniel 9:26-27 26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?  6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let,

Something or someone is keeping this from happening right now.

Who is withholding?  Who is Letting (hindering)?  The only person who has ever withheld satan is God.

Job 1:6-12 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.  7And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.  8And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?  9Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?  10Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.  11But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.  12And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

John 16:7  Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

God the Son left.  The Comforter came.

John 14:26 26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Comforter is the Holy Ghost

John 14:15-16 If ye love me, keep my commandments.  16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

The Holy Ghost will be with us forever

until he be taken out of the way.

When He goes, we go!!!!!

8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

When He that withholdeth is taken away, “that man of sin” a.k.a. “the prince that shall come” a.k.a. “him whose coming is after the working of satan” will be revealed.

10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Those who “received not” cannot be saved.
